Questions
Is there an Indian WhatsApp group in the US?
Yes, without an invite link to hunt for: Expats in the United States is the country's own group on Namaste Community, with 107 members. They work like a group chat: find one below and join it in the free app.
Why not just a WhatsApp group?
Invite links get forwarded far beyond the people they were meant for, and every member sees your phone number. Here each group is limited to the people it is for — those living in the country for Expats in the United States, those living within a set distance of its town for a local group — it is moderated, and your number is never shown to other members.
How do I join?
Open a group below, then join it in the Namaste Community app — it is free.
Can I start my own group in the US?
Yes. In the app, start a group for your town, language or interest; it is reviewed before it appears. Starting a group needs a verified phone number, which stays private.
